With May Bank Holiday well and truly over, summer is very much on the horizon. Warmer starts, the smell of sun crème, it’s time to start getting our hair ready for summer holidays. Whether you are staying local or travelling somewhere exotic, be sure and pack some essential must-haves to keep your hair looking perfect.
1) Your prescription shampoo and conditioner Buying the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type and texture is vital. Professional shampoos and conditioners contain high quality products and ingredients that nourish and care for specific hair conditions and can be the difference between manageable and disastrous styling! Whilst you may only be away for a short time, it’s really important to pack the best products for you.
2) Sun protection spray Just as we need to protect our skin against the sun’s hash UV rays, so must we protect our hair. Sun and humidity can wreak havoc on our locks, leaving it dry and frizzy. A good sun protection spray will add a layer of protection, protecting the vulnerable outside cuticle of the hair. It will also add some much needed moisture, helping to rehydrate and leaving your hair soft and smooth.
3) id Hair Rescue Spray This wonderful rescue remedy contains argon oil and macadamia seed oil as well as keratin. The spray both supports and nourishes your hair whilst providing vital protection, leaving your hair beautifully shiny. Simply spray evenly over wet or dry hair and style as normal.
4) ikoo Infusions Thermal Treatment Hair Wrap Hotter climates can leave our hair dull and dehydrated. This nifty little hair mask is perfect for rehydrating and adding moisture. Enriched with camellia oil, macadamia oil and honey extracts, your hair will be rehydrated and completely revitalised in 20 minutes. And it is so lightweight, it fits nicely in your suitcase!
All of these treatments and more are available to buy in salon. And I am always happy to share advice and tips on how to keep your hair looking fabulous in the sun. Together, we can find the cut, style, colour and hair care maintenance programme to keep your hair in the best condition possible. It’s getting very busy at Cabelos so don’t forget to prebook your cut and colour appointments in advance….
